Hours of operations

Appointment Hours & Fees: Appointments are available 7 days a week, additional charges may apply during holidays and outside of operation hours. Before/After Hours Appointment Fees: 4:00 AM – 7:00 AM: $100 per artist 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM: No additional fee 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM: $100 per artist
What is your cancellation policy?
All appointments require advance payment, and a 24-hour notice is necessary for cancellations. If you cancel within 24 hours, a fee of $100 will apply, and no-shows will be charged the full amount of the booked service.

Weddings/Events: Please be aware that the retainer for wedding/event cancellations is non-refundable. If an event is canceled within 90 days or less, the full balance is required. To qualify for refund, any changes must be made at least 90 days before your wedding day. You can services anytime, but if someone cancels within 90 days of your wedding, please notify us to adjust our artist's schedule. You may replace them with someone else; however, refunds are not available within the days up to your wedding.
When is the ideal time to schedule my appointment?
It's advisable to book as early as possible! For non-wedding appointments, we suggest scheduling at least one week in advance, though we can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests. For weddings and events, it's common to book about six months ahead, with some clients reserving their dates 12 to 16 months in advance.
Where are the appointments held?
We can travel to your location within the DFW metroplex for a fee of $50, covering up to 40 miles. An additional charge of $1 per mile applies beyond that distance. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit our studio located in Lewisville, 75077.
How can I settle my invoice?
You can via credit card using Square invoice (a 5% fee will be added to the total).
Venmo payments can be sent @kaycastrobeauty.
Are there any observed holiday appointment fees?
Kay Castro Beauty is open and available for client services 365 days a year, however, we do have the following hours / charges for observed holidays. For holiday dates, services need to be prepaid in full 24 hours prior to service date/time. How long will appointment take?
For individual hair and makeup sessions:
- Hair & Makeup: 2-3 hours
- Hair Service: 1 - 1.5 hours
- Makeup Service Only: 1 hour
How can I prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive a clean, makeup-free, and moisturized face, as well as and completely dry hair. For optimal results, it's best to blow dry your hair smooth to minimize frizz.
If you have naturally curly hair and prefer to embrace that texture instead of using a curling iron feel free to come with your hair in its natural curls, utilizing leave-in products for and frizz control.
Don’t forget to bring any inspiration photos to share with your stylist!
If you have favorite makeup products you'd like to use for your event, please bring them along!
We also suggest bringing your veil, earrings, or any accessories to help visualize your complete look! Before your appointment, please inform us of any allergies or concerns at beauty@kaycastro.com.
Group Reservations:
To ensure timely service, please have all members of your group assembled in the same before the designated start time, unless you have made prior arrangements with us.
Payment: be aware that we only accept one payment method for group reservations, with the exception of cash payments.

Do you provide trial runs?
Definitely! We highly encourage trial runs. Your feelings about your makeup and hairstyle on your special day are crucial to us! To help us bring your vision to life, we you to share your inspirations for both. Feel to browse our Instagram for more ideas!
What kind of products do you use?
We use professional, camera-ready hair and products designed to provide a flawless, long-lasting look. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, please inform us during the trial run or contact us at beauty@kaycastr.com in advance, and we will make every effort to meet your needs.
What are your health and sanitation protocols?
Makeup: All makeup brushes are meticulously cleaned and sanitized after each client. If time does not allow for sanitizing between clients, fresh brushes will be used. Disposable mascara wands and lip wands are utilized for their respective applications, while sanitized brushes are employed for eyeshadow, blush, eyeliner, and specific lip services.
Hair Styling: All brushes and combs are cleaned and sanitized between clients. If time does not permit sanitization, new brushes and combs will be offered.
